The Association dues of $30.00 per year are used to maintain and upgrade the association’s operating equipment. Associate members who wish Full Member status may apply for a full membership after being an associate member for one year. To meet FCC requirements, please show your Amateur Radio License when you join at a meeting. If you are returning your application by mail, please include a copy of your License with your application.

At present, the Wilmington VHF Association maintains and operates the following systems:
1. 146.22 / 146.82
Repeater Access tone 88.5 (normal range: 80 – 90 miles
with mobiles;
member of the PCRN repeater linking network; primary SkyWarn
repeater)
2. 449.85 / 444.85 Repeater Access tone 88.5 (normal range: 65 – 75 miles with mobiles)
3. 146.13 / 146.73 Repeater Access tone 88.5 (normal range: 20 – 30 miles with mobiles)
The 146.22 / 146.82 repeater is a member of the Piedmont Coastal Repeater Network (PCRN). This linking system provides coverage from the coast of South Carolina, beginning at Myrtle Beach and includes Dillon, SC. The coverage continues through all of North Carolina, from the mountains to the beaches. The coverage also extends north to western Virginia and southern and central West Virginia. Members of the Wilmington VHF Association receive a Private Code Card to access the Linking System. In addition, when severe weather is affecting the area, SkyWarn nets are held on the 146.82 Mhz repeater. Remember that SkyWarn nets are held at the discretion of the National Weather Service.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of February / April / June / August / October / December (every other month) at Middle & McDaniel Restaurant & Creamery, located at 614 South College Road in Wilmington. Doors open for dinner at 6:00 PM with the meeting starting at 7:00 PM. Please attend the meetings when you can. Spouses and visitors are always welcome. Enjoy great fellowship with fellow HAMS.
